YES! Winnipeg Work-Integrated Learning project chosen as one of thirteen BHER-CEWIL Grant Initiative recipients

Economic Development Winnipeg (EDW) and YES! Winnipeg(YW) are excited to announce their new work-integrated learning (WIL) project has been chosen as one of 13 projects funded by the Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER), with generous support from the Government of Canada. The initiative is the result of a collaboration between BHER and Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning (CEWIL) Canada.

YES! Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba have joined forces on the Experiential & Work-Integrated Learning Engagement Framework Development project. The project aims to address labour market demand and skill shortages in the agriculture sector by developing a sustainable process to facilitate collaboration between industry associations, employers and post-secondary institutions. To inform and test the framework, there is a plan to create up to 40 Experiential and Work-Integrated Learning (EWIL) placements to provide meaningful career development opportunities for students at the University of Manitoba.
